Pakistan is finally kicking off its long-awaited 5G rollout! In an exciting announcement at the ITCN Asia Expo 2025, Federal IT Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja revealed that 5G services will be launched in seven major cities, marking a significant milestone in Pakistan’s digital journey.
This initiative is part of the larger Digital Pakistan project, which aims to revamp infrastructure, stimulate economic growth, and empower the youth through technology. The government has also introduced a national AI policy, with a goal to train one million young professionals in cybersecurity and artificial intelligence by the end of the year.
