Last Supermoon of 2025: When to Watch in Pakistan

Supermoon in Pakistan December 2025

Pakistan’s skies will be illuminated tonight by the December Cold Moon, the final supermoon of 2025. The Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) reports that on the nights of December 4 and 5, this uncommon celestial event will be clearly visible.

The third consecutive supermoon of the year is the December Cold Moon. It will reach its peak brightness of 99.8% at 4:15 AM on December 5. One of the brightest moons of the year, the moon will rise at 4:58 PM on December 4 with 99.2% illumination. The Earth and the moon will be roughly 357,218 kilometers apart during this event.

According to SUPARCO, the supermoon will appear 15% brighter and nearly 7.9% larger than a typical full moon. This makes it a spectacular sight for skywatchers in Pakistan and around the world. Supermoons usually occur three to four times a year, but this December Cold Moon marks the final one for 2025.

Simply gazing up at the night sky allows people all over Pakistan to take in this magnificent view. Whether in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, or smaller towns, the supermoon will be visible without any special equipment. It’s a perfect opportunity to witness nature’s beauty and end the year with a dazzling celestial show.
