The Prime Minister’s announcement that young talent will be sent to Europe and China for advanced training in artificial intelligence (AI) has created new opportunities for Pakistani students through the Shehbaz Sharif AI Training Program. Students from all provinces, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, will have equal opportunities because the program will only be based on merit.
Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the success of the program, which has empowered over a million students since 2013, during his speech at the Laptop Scheme ceremony in Haripur. He clarified that AI and other contemporary skills are now necessary for both global competitiveness and economic growth.
In order to equip the next generation for the challenges of the future, the prime minister emphasized that Pakistan must invest in digital education and technology training. By sending students overseas, the government hopes to develop a pool of highly qualified workers who can advance innovation, data science, and artificial intelligence in the nation.
The Laptop Scheme was also commended by Shehbaz Sharif, who described it as a pillar of his vision for education. He pointed out that having access to technology has opened up new career opportunities and helped students succeed academically. Building on this foundation, the new AI student program raises the educational bar for Pakistan’s youth.
The government’s dedication to equipping students with cutting-edge skills and exposure to the world is reflected in this Pakistan AI initiative. Pakistani youth will acquire real-world experience, practical knowledge, and the capacity to spur innovation at home through training opportunities in China and Europe.
The announcement ensures that students are not only educated but also prepared to lead in the era of artificial intelligence, which is a major step in forming Pakistan’s future labor force.
