Islamabad-July 30, 2025, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with Ms. Sadia Zahidi, Managing Director and Member of the Managing Board of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Islamabad today.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan’s strong and long-standing partnership with the World Economic Forum and appreciated the WEF’s continued engagement with Pakistan through its annual meetings in Davos, Switzerland.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif briefed Ms. Zahidi about the remarkable economic recovery in Pakistan over the past few years.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed Pakistan’s keen interest in further strengthening its cooperation with the WEF, especially in the areas of economic growth, gender inclusion, vocational training and digitization. The Managing Director of the World Economic Forum also expressed interest in this matter.
Ms. Sadia Zahidi thanked the Prime Minister for the warm welcome she received during her visit.
She appreciated Pakistan’s positive economic performance.
