In a major counterterrorism breakthrough, Pakistan’s security forces have successfully eliminated 30 India-sponsored militants during the Orakzai Military Operation 2025, a large-scale retribution operation in the Orakzai district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The operation was launched in response to the recent deadly encounter that claimed the lives of 11 soldiers, including Lieutenant Colonel Junaid Arif and Major Tayyab Rahat.
According to official reports, the Orakzai military operation 2025 was carried out based on precise intelligence about the presence of militants linked to cross-border terrorism networks. Security forces surrounded the Jamal Maya area of Orakzai, where the militants had been regrouping after their earlier attack on Pakistani troops. During intense clashes, all 30 terrorists were neutralized, with several hideouts destroyed and large quantities of weapons and ammunition recovered.
Earlier this week, the same group of militants ambushed an intelligence-based operation, leading to the martyrdom of 11 soldiers. The fallen officers, Lt. Col. Junaid Arif and Major Tayyab Rahat, along with nine brave soldiers, fought valiantly until their last breath. Their sacrifice has been hailed nationwide as a symbol of courage and commitment to national defense.
Security forces have since launched clearance and sanitization operations across the region to ensure that no militant elements remain active. Helicopters and ground units are engaged in tracking down potential facilitators and ensuring the complete elimination of terrorist infrastructure in the tribal belt.
Military officials have reiterated that Pakistan remains fully determined to eradicate terrorism and foreign-sponsored militancy from its soil. The recent success in Orakzai marks a significant blow to hostile networks attempting to destabilize peace in the region. Authorities also emphasized that the country’s armed forces stand firm in protecting national sovereignty and will continue to pursue all remaining terrorist elements with full force.
The nation has paid tribute to the martyred heroes, with flags flown at half-mast in military installations. Funeral prayers for the fallen officers and soldiers were offered with full military honors, attended by senior leadership and families of the martyrs. Messages of solidarity and respect continue to pour in from across the country as Pakistan stands united against terrorism.
