720 newly constructed apartments have been formally given to industrial workers throughout the province by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. A digital lottery system was used for the allocation, and the CM herself congratulated the winning candidates.
The Punjab government’s plan to enhance low-wage workers’ living conditions includes this initiative. Each apartment is available for immediate occupancy and is situated in Sundar Industrial Estate. Warmth was added to the ceremony when CM Maryam personally called one of the winners, Nadeem Tahir, and told him to always cherish his parents’ blessings.
Special apartments have been set aside for widows and people with disabilities, who were not included in the lottery process, in order to promote inclusivity. For convenience, these apartments are situated on the ground floor.
Furthermore, the Chief Minister declared that 1,872 additional apartments for industrial workers would be built within the next 18 months. Additionally, she oversaw the three-month completion of a bachelor’s hostel for 700 employees at Quaid-e-Azam Business Park in Sheikhupura.
By relieving rent stress and giving hardworking families safe housing, this housing initiative demonstrates the government’s dedication to worker welfare. For thousands of workers throughout Punjab, the action is anticipated to raise spirits and enhance their standard of living.
CM Maryam Nawaz’s vision for inclusive development is gaining traction as more housing projects are planned.
