Apni Zameen Apna Ghar program

PML-N President Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif launched the country’s first and distinctive housing program, Apni Zameen Apna Ghar. At Maryam Nawaz’s request, Nawaz Sharif pressed the button to officially launch the Apni Zameen Apna Ghar program.

Rukhsana Bibi from Attock was personally congratulated by Nawaz Sharif over the phone during the launch after her name was selected for a free plot. In order to spread the good news, Maryam Nawaz also called residents of Bahawalpur and other districts. After receiving the calls, families expressed joy and prayed for the leadership.

Thanking her father for coming to the event, Maryam Nawaz stated that the project is more than just catchphrases. She declared that residents who receive a complimentary three-marla plot could also apply for a Rs. 1.5 million housing loan, which would be repaid over a nine-year period in manageable monthly installments of Rs. 14,000.

Bilal Yasin, the provincial housing minister, provided information about the program. Residential plots were distributed to 2,000 people in 19 districts during the first phase. There were 730 plots distributed in Jhelum, 388 in Kasur, 257 in Faisalabad, 219 in Lodhran, and fewer in Okara, Bhakkar, Sargodha, Sahiwal, and other districts.

District scrutiny committees and NADRA verification have guaranteed transparency. Over 483,000 individuals signed up, and 257,000 applications were accepted for the initial stage. 18,308 of these were deemed qualified to cast ballots.

The government also emphasized the success of the associated Apni Chhat Apna Ghar app, which provided loans totaling Rs145 billion to more than 1.18 lakh individuals.

This housing project is viewed as a significant step toward giving low-income families a place to live and enabling citizens to own affordable homes.
