Sardar Mir Akbar Khan Joins PML(N) AJK

Islamabad Sardar Mir Akbar Khan, a current member of the Legislative Assembly and former PTI leader, has formally joined the PMLN (N) AJK, marking a significant political change in Azad Kashmir.

Former AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider, PML(N) AJK President Shah Ghulam Qadir, Central General Secretary Chaudhry Tariq Farooq, Najib Naqi, Council Member Malik Hanif, Senior Vice President Mushtaq Minhas, Iftikhar Gilani, and Farooq Sikandar were among the notable figures present at the joining ceremony in Islamabad.

“We are united under the leadership of Mian Nawaz Sharif,” said Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Engineer Amir Muqam, extending a hearty welcome to Sardar Mir Akbar. The PML-N will never let the people of Kashmir down if they give us their mandate. He underlined that Kashmiris will always be involved in national initiatives since they are Pakistan’s first line of defense.

Leaders of the PML-N emphasized that Mir Akbar’s return benefits the party in Bagh district, where his influence is substantial. While Raja Farooq Haider predicted that the PML-N would form the next government in Azad Kashmir, Shah Ghulam Qadir pointed out that bringing back former colleagues strengthens the party.

Politics is about people joining and leaving, but party loyalty must be unwavering, senior vice president Mushtaq Minhas continued. He said he was sure Mir Akbar’s inclusion would energize Bagh’s party base.

In Azad Kashmir, this development is viewed as a significant boost for the PML-N, indicating greater unity and election preparation.
