Twenty members of the Azad Kashmir cabinet formally joined the government at an oath ceremony in Muzaffarabad. Prime Minister Raja Faisal Rathore and Acting President Chaudhry Latif Akbar administered the Azad Kashmir cabinet oath.
Eighteen ministers and two advisors were formally inducted into the Azad Jammu & Kashmir government on November 19, 2025, during an oath-taking ceremony at the Presidential House. Senior officials, a sizable number of Pakistan Peoples Party supporters, and former presidents and prime ministers attended the event.
Mian Abdul Waheed, Sardar Javed Ayub, Javed Iqbal Budhanvi, Chaudhry Arshad Hussain, Chaudhry Muhammad Rasheed, Ali Shan Soni, Syed Bazil Ali Naqvi, Sardar Muhammad Hussain Khan, Chaudhry Yasir Sultan, Chaudhry Ikhlaq Ahmed, Chaudhry Amir Yasin, Sardar Zia-ul-Qamar, Zafar Iqbal Malik, Dewan Ali Khan Chughtai, and Ms. Nabeela Ayub took the oath.
Two advisors, Sardar Ahmed Saghir and Sardar Fahad Yaqoob, were sworn in by Prime Minister Raja Faisal Rathore. Zafar Mehmood Khan, Secretary of Services & General Administration, read the notification aloud.
Later in the day, Prime Minister Rathore expressed his profound sadness over the death of Maulana Lal Muhammad Baniyan, a former MLA and founding member of the PPP. He prayed for the late leader’s forgiveness and strength for the grieving family, describing him as a close friend of his father, the late Murtaza Hussain Rathore.
