AJK PM Raja Faisal Rathore Begins Open Courts to Hear Public Issues

AJK open courts Raja Faisal Rathore

Raja Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, the prime minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), has formally launched a number of open courts (Khuli Kachehris) to directly hear public concerns from various AJK regions.

Through this initiative, the Prime Minister can interact directly with citizens and comprehend their issues without any obstacles. It draws inspiration from the legacy of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, who established open courts in Pakistan and AJK to improve public relations.

On October 4, 1973, Bhutto held his first open court in Shahdadkot. On September 17, 1976, he held another court in Banjosa, Poonch, where he heard the concerns of Kashmiris.

These open courts’ primary objectives are to increase political consciousness, foster direct communication between the public and public officials, and empower youth leadership. This system makes it possible for public concerns to be heard promptly and for solutions to be implemented.

An open court was held today in Dara Sher Khan, which is in the Battal Sector close to the Line of Control (LoC), per the Prime Minister’s directives. In order to hear and respond to public concerns, Sardar Umar Farooq, Deputy Commissioner Poonch, as well as representatives from the local government and departments took part.

Citizens had a great chance to voice their concerns and get prompt attention from officials at this open court. Additionally, it promoted open governance and public cooperation.

The AJK government intends to carry out this series in additional districts with the goals of fostering inclusive leadership, enhancing service delivery, and fostering trust.
