Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif recently chaired an important meeting with senior leaders of Pakistan Muslim League-N (PMLN) Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) to discuss the upcoming elections and current political developments in the region.
Shah Ghulam Qadir, the president of the PML-N AJK, Raja Farooq Haider, the former prime minister of the AJK, Tariq Farooq, the general secretary, Mushtaq Minhas, the senior vice president, and other prominent party members attended the meeting.
The meeting, which took place in Islamabad, concentrated on party unity, election preparation, and strategic planning to improve the PML-N’s standing in AJK. After reviewing the state of politics, the leadership stressed the significance of public participation and grassroots mobilization.
PM Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the importance of inclusive and transparent elections while praising the commitment of the AJK leadership. Additionally, he urged party leaders to maintain contact with the populace and successfully address their issues.
According to sources, the meeting also discussed governance issues, development initiatives, and coordination between the federal and AJK governments to guarantee future plans are carried out smoothly.
The PML-N’s intention to actively compete in the next elections in AJK with a unified front and a clear roadmap is indicated by this high-level engagement. Through policy-driven campaigning and strategic outreach, the party hopes to gain momentum.
