On November 22, 2025, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif laid the foundation of Danish School in Haari Ghel, Bagh, Azad Kashmir. The program’s goal is to give impoverished kids a top-notch education while guaranteeing equal opportunities for boys and girls throughout the area.

Speaking at the event, the prime minister announced that the Danish school system will have separate, state-of-the-art campuses for boys and girls. Thousands of students in Azad Kashmir will have access to advanced education once construction is finished in a record one year.

The Danish School initiative, according to Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal, is the realization of a vision that Shehbaz Sharif first proposed while serving as Punjab Chief Minister. He emphasized that investing in students’ futures is the most significant service any leader can offer, pointing out that the model has now spread across the country. “The coming era belongs to technology, knowledge, and brainpower,” he continued.

Federal Minister Amir Muqam called the expansion of Danish schools a historic milestone, emphasizing that gifted children had long yearned for such opportunities. He commended PM Shehbaz for consistently making the seemingly impossible possible, both under the PDM coalition and the current administration.

The Prime Minister also declared that Danish schools would soon be established in two more districts in Azad Kashmir, expanding opportunities to even more remote areas.
