In her address to the media, Shaza Fatima shared that Pakistan’s IT exports reached $3.8 billion in the last fiscal year. The ambitious new target of $5 billion showcases the government’s dedication to fostering digital growth, innovation, and enhancing global competitiveness. She also mentioned ongoing talks with Gulf nations about strategic investments, especially in submarine cable infrastructure and data center development, which are vital for improving connectivity and boosting digital capabilities.

In a game-changing initiative to bolster Pakistan’s digital workforce, the federal minister announced that the government will provide free IT training to one million young Pakistanis this year. The goal of this initiative is to:
