An important meeting of the Pakistan Peoples Party Azad Kashmir was held at Bilawal House, Islamabad, under the chairmanship of President PPP Azad Kashmir Chaudhry Muhammad Yasin. The meeting was attended by former Prime Minister Azad Kashmir Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan, former President and Prime Minister Azad Kashmir Sardar Yaqub Ahmed Khan, General Secretary PPP Azad Kashmir Raja Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, members of the assembly, assembly candidates and central office bearers of the party.
The meeting unanimously decided to separate from the current government. The final decision will be taken by the President of Pakistan and Co-Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Mr. Asif Ali Zardari. The Pakistan Peoples Party Azad Kashmir cannot afford to bear the further burden of Anwarul Haq’s disappointing performance, failures and incompetence.
Furthermore, the meeting reiterated the resolve that the Kashmiri people will not hesitate to make any sacrifice in the struggle for the completion of Pakistan.The meeting strongly condemned the illegal and inhumane move by India to commute the life sentence of Hurriyat leader Yasin Malik to death penalty and decided to raise a strong voice against this atrocity at every national and international forum.
In the meeting, the Pakistan Peoples Party Azad Kashmir expressed full confidence in the leadership of the party’s central leadership, Mr. Asif Ali Zardari, Mr. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Ms. Faryal Talpur and paid tribute to their continuous efforts for the Kashmir cause.
