Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif was met by Advisor to the Palestinian President on Religious Affairs and Chief Justice of the Sharia Court, His Excellency Mahmud Siddiqui Al-Habbash. He is leading a Palestinian delegation to attend the Seerat Conference held in Islamabad. Imam of Al-Aqsa Mosque Ahmed Hussain and the Palestinian Ambassador to Pakistan were also present in the meeting.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister conveyed his congratulatory message to Palestinian President Dr. Mahmud Abbas. He reiterated the unwavering support of the Pakistani people for Palestine and assured that Pakistan will continue its full support for the brotherly people of Palestine who have made immense sacrifices and are bravely facing Israeli aggression.
The Prime Minister further said that he will continue to raise his voice with full force for the rights of the Palestinian people at every diplomatic forum. On the humanitarian situation in Gaza, the Prime Minister assured the Palestinian delegation that Pakistan will continue to provide humanitarian assistance to the people of Gaza who are suffering from a man-made famine at the hands of the Israeli occupying forces.
The Advisor to Palestinian President meets Shehbaz Sharif and expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the people and government of Pakistan for their continued and unwavering support for the Palestinian people. He mentioned the long-standing and historic ties between the people of Pakistan and Palestine and said that Pakistan is a source of strength for them in this difficult time. He also expressed his condolences over the recent floods in Pakistan.
At the end of the meeting, a letter from President Mahmoud Abbas was also handed over to the Prime Minister.
